PodQueue vs. Listen Notes

The major difference between PodQueue and Listen Notes’ “Listen Later” feature is that PodQueue will automatically extract links to audio from any web link and create a personalized podcast feed for you. While Listen Notes will allow you to create a personalized podcast feed from podcast episodes which are discoverable in their podcast directory, there is no way to save arbitrary links from around the web and automatically extract the audio. This means that many sites, such as YouTube, are difficult to use with Listen Notes. With PodQueue, you can save links in seconds.

Because of this difference in design, PodQueue also offers additional cross-platform, cross-browser ways to easily save links.

Listen Notes also lacks PodQueue’s personalized organization features, such as the ability to like & archive episodes as well as search only your own playlists.

Feature PodQueue Listen Notes
Personal RSS Feeds
Manually add links to audio
Automatically extract links to audio
Bookmarklet
Browser Extensions
Siri Shortcut
Like/Archive Episodes
Personalized Search

These features combine to make PodQueue a more powerful, more convenient alternative to Listen Notes’ “Listen Later” feature.
